Vintage Air Fuel Ratio Indicator Diagnostic Tool Manufactured By Clarence V. Elliott of Los Angeles

This device measures the air-fuel ratio in an engine, which is crucial for optimal performance and efficiency.

The instructions on the right side of the device detail how to operate it, including turning it on, calibrating the meter, and taking readings.

It also provides instructions for replacing the two flashlight cells that power the unit when the battery is low.

The manufacturer's address, "Clarence V. Elliott, 331 East 33d Street, Los Angeles, Calif," is also visible on the device.

This would have been used by a mechanic or tuner - probably in the 1940s to 1960s to test and balance the air-fuel mixture on multi-carburettor setups, tune for idle, economy, and full-power performance and switch between left/right exhaust banks for detailed adjustment.

This vintage automotive diagnostic tool is sold as is, untested.
